Was all this lit merely with a flash??? My thoughts are I like the top composition best, in my opinion this is the more successful of the two. You look like primal woman :) Both are somewhat cryptic. I was wondering what the luminous orange growth in the foreground was and kind of hoping they were mushrooms which would open a whole new exciting meaning.
