There are carpenters under my eye lids

trying to bolt down my lashes

lacquering against the ever old joke

There are soldiers there too

their heavy boots dangling from my lashes

as I march us out of here

Martin Martini asked me to take some promo portraits for his shows at the famous Spiegeltent opening again in 2011

I don’t always quite know how to fit.

Sometimes there is so much more love and kindness inside me than you can believe.

And sometimes, so much more darkness than I can.

A few weeks ago, a lovely Alice emailed me to commission me to take some portraits for her.

We met at my house and after packing up some bits and bobs, wandering and orange buying, quickly pushed away any shyness and cooked up some moody imagery together.
